POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will support BRF senior leadership as part of the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP), which is a comprehensive plan to solicit and evaluate innovation, new startup business and entrepreneurs. The candidate will be required to produce startup planning including hands-on project resource planning, developing cost/schedule baselines, and developing investment terms and structure. This position would require the candidate to price modification to existing work and support pricing for proposal for BRF economic development opportunities and activities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assess and screen new startup opportunities
  • Conduct financial analysis and valuations and participate in financing discussions
  • Build and update financial models
  • Conduct specific industry and market research
  • Produce business tools that support startup company objectives
  • Assist in writing project and investment memos for the investment Advisory Committee and Due Diligence Committee
  • Lead investment term development
  • Interact and assist in managing startup deal flow
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials
  • Evaluate contract vehicles and legal contracts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5-7 years of work experience at the analyst level in project finance or related corporate finance field. Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting. Strong financial modeling skills/very comfortable building and manipulating Excel models. Experience building Pitch Decks with PowerPoint. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast paced, unstructured environment. Self-motivated, results-oriented, acute attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Public or private equity experiences required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required to produce startup company business tools, business plans, executive summaries, pitch books, market analysis and complete financial products and cost modeling. This position will perform financial analysis and modeling across multiple industries and business areas. Candidate will work with entrepreneurs to perform startup planning including hands-on project resource planning, developing cost/schedule baselines and developing investment terms and structure. This position will require the candidate to price modifications to existing work and support pricing for proposals for new work and new customers.
